What do I actually get when I hire you?

Two 2-hour prenatal visits, ride along to a doctors appointment (at least 1), Text/call support from the time you hire me until our postpartum visit, labor support - no matter how long or short it is, unwavering support in your wishes and desires for your birth, preparation for postpartum, and making sure your partner has support and giving them more ways to be involved in the process. 

Do you perform any physical examinations?

Doulas do not perform ANY medical testing or exams. I am here for emotional and physical support, not clinical evaluation. 

How will hiring you affect my partner’s role during the birth?

I am your walking stick. My job is to support both you and your partner and to make sure that they get adequate rest during labor as well. Your partner and I will switch off performing comfort measures, so when you rest, they can rest or get a coffee or eat. I am your extra set of hands, not their replacement.
